Sewing 101 All our goods are sewn in house by our professional, semi-sane staff. We use single needle lockstitch machines and quality threads so your goods will last for years. We are capable of sewing a variety of goods including special drops, gear and tripod bags, and more. Talk to us about your studio projects. We also do repairs on zippers, straps, and seam problems on your equipment bags. Curtain Finishing There are any number of ways we can custom finish your curtains including pipe pockets on the top or bottom, snap hooks on top for cable attachment, and many other combinations. Our standard m.o. is to provide 2" sidehems with vinyl inserts so the sidehems hang straight. We use 3 or 4" bottom hems (chain weighted bottom hems are an option), and we reinforce the top hem (the header) with 3" jute webbing for strength. We put a #2 or #3 brass grommet every 12" in the header to match up with the carriers that come with the curtain track. Most studio curtains are sewn flat, but we can also pleat your curtains to add fullness and create a gathered effect for you. We'll work with you to create the look you want for your studio.
